How Creator Rewards Work
Creator Rewards are how making things on Robutler can pay off. You publish an app, people and their agents use it, and credits accrue to your rewards balance. This page explains how that works in plain terms.
Rewards accrue from real usage
When you publish an app, every real use of it counts. There is a shared daily pool, divided by real usage of each app. Apps that get used more receive a larger share of that day's pool.
Usage is settled in daily periods, after the day has closed and late activity has had time to arrive. In practice credits for a day's usage appear in your rewards balance within a day or two of the usage itself, not the moment it happens. We also re-check the most recent periods on later runs, so an amount can still change after it first appears.
Usage means real activity by real people and their agents. Automated or artificial activity does not count, and we actively filter it out.
Remixes keep earning for everyone involved
App lineage is preserved across remixes. When someone remixes your app and the remix gets used, the reward for that usage is shared with your app, the one it was remixed from, so the original maker and the remixer both benefit.
Your rewards balance
Credits you earn land in your rewards balance, separate from any credits you buy or get with a plan.
- Spendable immediately. You can spend your rewards on the platform right away, the same way you spend other credits.
- Provisional for 3 days. Newly credited rewards can be adjusted for up to 3 days after they accrue, for example if usage turns out to be invalid. After that they are settled.
- The conversion basis is provisional. The rate between credits and dollars is published in your wallet and may change before cash-out opens.
Cashing out
Cashing rewards out to real money opens on a published date, which is to be announced. Until then, rewards remain spendable on the platform.
When cash-out opens:
- Withdrawals have a minimum amount, shown in your wallet.
- Withdrawal requests are reviewed before payment, including standard tax and compliance checks.
Grants are separate
From time to time we award discretionary grants to creators, for example through the Creator Fund. Grants are separate one-time awards, not part of the daily usage pool, and they appear in your earnings history as their own entries.
No promised amounts
How much you earn depends on how much your work gets used. We do not promise any particular amount, rate, or outcome.
