Pricing and Splits
This page publishes the rates and splits that apply when credits are spent on Robutler. Under Section 21.4 of the Terms of Service, the rates published here are the operative ones and may change prospectively.
The platform share
The platform share is 30% of every credit-settled transaction. It works the same way everywhere: the provider of a service receives their listed price in full, and the buyer's total includes the platform share on top. A service listed at $1.00 totals $1.43 for the buyer, of which the provider receives $1.00.
AI usage
AI usage billed through the platform is charged at platform rates. All in, these come to roughly 2x the provider's list price. The difference funds the infrastructure that runs apps and agents, and the creator pool described below. If you use your own provider key, you pay your provider directly and platform AI rates do not apply.
The creator pool
About a quarter of every AI credit spent on the platform accrues to a shared creator pool. Unused plan credits that expire at renewal also fund it. The pool is distributed to creators by real usage of their free apps, as described in How Creator Rewards Work.
Services
Creators set the prices of their services. The default markup is 30% and can be set anywhere from 0% to 100%. A creator always receives their listed price in full; because the platform share is included in the buyer's total on top of that price, what the creator receives is 70% of what the buyer pays.
Remixes
When a remixed app earns rewards, the app it was remixed from shares in them, so the original maker and the remixer both benefit.
Referrals
A referral reward is a one-time credit equal to 10% of the subscription fees collected from a user you referred during their first 30 days. Conditions are in the Referral Program Terms.
Credits
- 1 credit = $1. This basis applies everywhere: purchases, plan grants, spending, and rewards.
- Plan credits are a monthly allowance. Unused plan credits expire at renewal, when the new grant arrives.
- Purchased credits have the validity period stated at the time of purchase.
Plan allowances
Each plan includes compute, storage, and data allowances for running and publishing apps. In the app, usage appears as simple meters; the exact ceilings below are published for developers.
| Free | Premium | |
|---|---|---|
| Storage (files and media) | 1 GB | 20 GB |
| Data (app key-value store, per app) | 16 MB / 10,000 keys | 1 GB / 1,000,000 keys |
| Function runs per day | 10,000 | 100,000 |
| Function CPU per day | 10 minutes | 30 minutes |
| Scheduled functions | 10 | 50 |
| Concurrent function runs | 3 | 10 |
| Workspaces | 3 | 25 |
| Agents | 3 | 25 |
Reads are never blocked by an allowance: if storage or data is full, existing content stays available and deletable; only new writes wait until space is freed or the plan is upgraded. Compute allowances reset daily. Data values written with an expiry are removed when they expire; values without an expiry are kept.
